ANOTHER WAY TO GIVE BACK

Help your kids donate this holiday season and let them see how good it feels to play a part in making another child feel just as lucky as they do.

HOW YOU CAN GIVE BACK

- Sort through old toys. Decide together with your kids, which toys they no longer use and which ones they think will be appreciated by other kids.
• Electronic toys - include batteries and chargers
• Soft toys
• Board games
• Play sets
• Toy cars
- Clean out baby items if your kids are all grown up.
•Baby clothes
• Diapers
• Bottles
• Towels
- Be sure to give baby clothes a good wash through with a fragrance-free detergent to avoid allergy or sensitivity problems with new borns and babies who will wear them.

If you know of other donation drop-offs across the country, please leave a comment below to share!

PACKAGE YOUR DONATION

Think of your donation as gift-giving and find the best way to present it to the organization of your choice. Combine all of your items in a basket or tote-bag. Remember, these baskets and bags can be re-used by the organization, too!
If your donation is small, take a look at our simple packaging ideas to get inspired and make your gift special.

WRITE YOUR GIFT CARD

It's important to teach children about giving-back through donations, but it is also necessary to make sure they understand exactly what they are donating to and why they are doing it.

Talk to your kids about the different products they are donating and what they will be used for. Allow them to understand that through giving, they are allowing children who may not get gifts otherwise, have a happy holiday season. This makes the process more meaningful for your kids.

Ask your child what they hope their donation will do for those children receiving it and let them write their message to the kids on their gift card.
